optometry's life..

didn't get to update cos have been really busy!
yesterday went for the opthalmic dispensing lab,
luckily the lecturer was a nice person,
or else i sure hate this module to the core de,
cos i don't like adjusting spects
& cos of this module made me have to wake up early go school on wednesday then after lab rush to work.
anyways, yesterday after lab went to Capitol Optical worked full shift,
from 11am-9.30pm as usual.
was feeling very tired in the beginning,
so there were so many times i almost fell asleep sitting on the shop's chair la.
then slightly towards late afternoon don't feel very tired le.
i think yesterday was the slackest day out of all my days at Capitol Optical.
then reached home at around 11.45pm cos went out after work.
now for today's update.
today have Business Management for Optom lesson from 8am-10am.
was feeling kind of used to the tiredness already.
then after the lesson slacked all the way till around 1.30pm got clinic.
shuhui's and my patients both didnt come so wanted to do soft lens fitting on her.
when i was doing halfway,
pin jing's second patient came early.
so nora asked one of us to check him since we dont have patients.
so didnt do fitting on shuhui le.
we went to find out who is the patient,
saw that it was quite a young guy,
so thought he would be easy to check,
so i checked him.
brought him to my clinic's room,
although he is only 35 years old,
in the end he told me BOTH OF HIS EYES' POWER WERE >1500.
i went >.< immediately.
tried doing ret on him, nearly fainted.
his corneal reflex were like SUPER DIM please.
couldn't figure out all the movements at all.
gave him 1900 power for both eyes with a little astig.
did refraction, gave him about the same power, although he cant see more than 6/9.
cos thought dont have degree higher than 1900 in clinic le, cos i used phoropter to check him.
in the end Ms Ling came in, then she used trial frame checked him,
found out got 2000 power, so she put 2000 for him,
in the end she decided on this power, but he couldn't see more than 6/9 also what.
zzz.
anyways, refraction took up alot of time obviously. >.<
then Ms Ling told me to do opthalmoscope first.
i looked into his eyes,
OMG,
although i can see his ONH and blood vessels i can't see the distinct margin at all.
since Ms Ling said can use fundus camera if too difficult to see, i conducted it on him.
in the end, WAH!
his ONH WAS SO BIG, that is why i cant find the margin with opthalmoscope,
his SCLERAL CRESENTS WERE VERY BIG TOO.
anyways, he was referred in the end,
shan't say much here,
later i got sued or something. ;x
i didn't really regret checking him la,
cos he is a very nice guy. :D
he is working as an engineer now,
3/4 weeks must go thailand work.
he is very humourous too, joked and made me laughed alot.
although the session was long it was ok la. (:
he even gave me his namecard in the end, i dont know why la. lol.
cos i wont need any engineering stuff right.
and i guessed i dont have to say u all also should know how was my grading for this session in the end la.
hais..... ):
shuhui and me were the latest to leave clinic, we left at 6+pm lor..
tomorrow school from 1pm-5pm, FINALLY CAN SLEEP LONGER LE! :D :D :D
